The high-flying Institute Of Ballers have stormed into the boys’under-12 Cup final with another superb performance, this time at the expense of Prodigy Football at the Sydney International Football Cup in northern Sydney.

The Institute Of Ballers didn’t waste time getting on the board with the opening goal scored in the third minute and their second coming in the seventh on field 3 at Cromer Park.
But considering their glut of possession that was no surprise as their obvious class advantage prevailed over their opponents.
They are clearly an outstanding team and this latest 5-1 result a fair indication of their standing.
The Institute Of Ballers reached the semi-final after thumping Game Ready 4-0 in the quarters.

Earlier, the Institute Of Ballers’ under-11 outfit gave a snapshot of the firepower at their disposal when they pushed aside Inter Manly in their quarter-final to register a fifth win.
The comprehensive 4-1 rout also saw the boys post their 23rd goal for the tournament, making them the clear leaders for goals scored in the under-11 age group.
Understandably, they also top their group for the highest goal count per game among teams in this age group.
Their superior ball skills and precision passing, along with superb accuracy around the box have made them one of the ‘must see’ teams in the tournament.
Another worthy facet is their willingness to share the workload and strong team first ethic, a crucial ingredient to success in the junior levels.
They would later return on field three and dispatch Sydney City 3-1 in another dominant semi-final display on route to the final.

After an impressive run through the round robin stage, which included a 6-2 demolition of Central Coast side Terrigal United, the U8 side qualified for the final eight on Saturday with a 4-2 success over locals Goal Soccer Academy.
Next up is a clash with Wollongong’s UOW Junior FC, who are sure to provide stiff opposition judging by their 6-0 round robin win over Stella FC on Friday.

There is plenty for the older players later in the day, with semi-finals set for decision into the evening, but Sunday morning belongs to the young guns, and there is some intriguing match-ups.
Institute of Ballers, who are based in Sydney’s western suburbs, feature in two Cup quarterfinals early. They face Focus Football in the U8s at 8.30am before their U10 side play Fluid Football at 10.30am.
The U8 side left quite an impression on Friday when they thrashed East Coast Soccer School Barca 8-3
The girls will feature in more round robin play and finals action, with the U9/10 and U11/12 age groups both sharing the Fields 3 and 4 limelight.
Fresh from a 7-0 hammering of Canberra Croatia on Saturday, Zippy Bananas are into the final 16 of the 11/12 girls where they will face Cityroos, who themselves have been very impressive.
In early U9/10 action, East Coast Soccer School play the visiting CC Strikers, while locals, Manly Vale FC, take on SD Raiders.
