Colby Prewer did most of the damage with 22 points and was supported by Austen Freeland with 12 points and Nick Cameron with 10.
Angus Berry and Oliver Rolls with 13 and 11 respectively kept Glenorchy in the contest as long as they could.
In the under-16 boys’ Division 1 grand final, Kings thumped Motors Saints Davie by 25 points.
Led by Luke Cowen with 12 points and both Archer Watson and Samuel Cowen chiming in with 10 points apiece, Motors Saints Davie had no answer as they trailed at every change before going down 65-40.
City Basketball outmuscled their smaller opponents to clinch the Uunder-18 Boys’ Division 1 grand final.
Logan Gibson finished with 22 points, as the City 18 Basketballers charged to a six-point lead at quarter time. They then extended the margin to 12 points at halftime.
Although the second half was much closer, with City 18 boys only increasing their lead by one point, the contest was never in doubt. The 53-40 scoreline a fair assessment of the gap between the two teams.
