Lauderdale pulled off a stunning 93-point Anzac Day bombing raid on North Hobart on Friday and coach Brent Dolliver sent an ominous warning to the rest of the SFL Premier League _ our best is yet to come.

At the Twin Ovals, Kingborough claimed its second win of the season with a victory over Glenorchy, moving the Tigers to second on the ladder.

At North Hobart Oval, a still undefeated Lauderdale was led to victory by Sam Siggins’ seven-goal haul from centre half-forward and an Anzac Day Medal-winning performance in the ruck by Andrew Phillips, confirming the beach boys are the real deal.

Dolliver was pleased with the win but is keeping the “lid” air-tight.

“We are still not playing our best footy but that will come,” he said.

“We’ve got seven new guys in the squad so it’s going to take some time to build to our four-quarter brand.

“But that was certainly a lot more pleasing to what we’ve produced over the past few weeks.”

Lauderdale had the ball on a string in the opening term when the battle was at its fiercest but found it difficult to capitalse on the scoreboard as North Hobart’s defenders fought like demons.

The Bombers gained better control in the second quarter and the flood gates opened in the second half when they kicked 14.12 to 3.3, including the last seven goals of the game, six of them in red time.

“We started to get the ball on our terms in the second quarter and we started to shape the ball around, which is something we’ve been working on,” Dolliver said.

“It was good to see the boys stick to that for four quarters.”

Phillips was a giant in the ruck and regularly unleashed his trade-mark 30m punches from the hit-outs.

Siggins’ radar was off early, heading into half-time 1.3 and another on the full. He fired up in the second half, kicking four goals in the third and two in the last.

Clarence can re-take second on the ladder with a win over Brighton in their Anzac round clash at Ninja Stadium on Saturday.
