Fans debate what the Tasmanian Football Club will reveal as inaugural guernsey

Anticipation is reaching fever pitch for the reveal of Tasmania’s AFL guernsey design ahead of the club’s official launch on Monday night.
Football fans are also debating the potential name of the team, with Devils a popular front-runner with Tridents also in the mix, and fake contender Turbo Chooks still getting support.
A raft of jumper designs are being thrown around online ahead of the real deal and some of them might be closer to the mark than fans might realise.
Fletch Burns created designs on in Instagram account and shared three on Facebook to a mixed review.
LJ OK said: “The middle one.” Phillip Stanley said: “Left one”. Mike Ellery was not convinced: “Too dark and gloomy for me sorry.” While Deb Bennett was onboard: “I love the third one.”
The launch has footy fans excited, which is able to be seen at more than 20 free live sites, streamed live on AFL.com, as well as a live site in Melbourne at Marvel Stadium.
“We’re on the eve of something big,” said Greg Smith.
“The feeling tomorrow [Monday] will be similar to that famous day back in 1990 [Tasmania’s
state of origin win over Victoria].”
Jez Barnes can’t wait for the reveal.
“Here we are on the eve of our club being unveiled and to say I’m excited is an understatement,” Jez said.
“My mind goes back to the late 1980s when they started talking about a Tassie team, then officially 1992 our first bid.
“Decades later it’s now no longer a dream, it’s happening, and we are going to get our own club to be the fastest-growing club, just like the JJs [JackJumpers].
“Bring it on.”
