THE HURRICANES have been given a massive injection ahead of tomorrow’s crucial clash with the Stars with Ashes hero Scott Boland set to return to the line-up.
Boland will not take part in tonight’s clash with the Renegades in Melbourne but the team announced on Tuesday afternoon that Boland would return to bolster the team for their final match of the regular season against the Stars on Wednesday night.
Boland is a massive inclusion for the ‘Canes and will be looking to carry his Ashes form into the shorter version of the game after finishing third in the series with 18 wickets in a breakout debut Ashes performance.
Boland was not expected to be ready to play for the ‘Canes so soon after Australia’s Ashes victory only concluded late on Sunday night with celebrations carrying on well into Monday night.
Tuesday night’s matchup with the Renegades looms as a danger game for the ‘Canes who currently sit in fifth position and with just two rostered games left cannot afford a slip up and risk being bumped out of finals action.
The Canes and the Renegades will meet at Marvel Stadium tonight at 7.15pm.
