Basketball expert Michael Randall reveals his round 11 team for Beat the Coach NBL fantasy

The NBL is back after a one-week FIBA break and so is Beat The Coach. But hoops expert Mick Randall is passing on the league’s biggest fantasy star. SEE HIS TEAM

Boomers down NZ late with buzzer beater!

Bryce Cotton has scored more than 70 SuperCoach points in two of his past three games, but you can still win in Beat the Coach without him.

Passing on Cotton and his eye-watering $479,900 price tag allows me to spread the cash on a stacked starting five ... with the sixth man a cut-price gamble. But in this short-format of fantasy, that’s a risk you can afford to take – especially if you nail your captain (triple points) and vice-captain (double points).

Round 11 match-ups were front of mind in picking Kristian Doolittle (captain) and Milton Doyle (vice-captain). Doolittle is in form and has a fantastic record against United, while Doyle loves playing the Wildcats.

I’m building my line-up around those two $300k-plus guns. Sam Mennenga is the best value of any player under that price point.

Jordi Hunter busted out prior to the FIBA break and looks unders at $207k, and DJ Vasiljevic surely gets more burn after his game-winning effort pre-FIBA window.

As for Gorjok Gak ... help, I need somebody under $60k. He did score 10 points in his last outing and I’ll take that considering the Phoenix plays twice this round. In fact, every team apart from Brisbane, Cairns, Sydney and Tasmania is on the double.
