Basketball expert Michael Randall reveals his Beat the Coach NBL fantasy team for round 12
For the first time in five weeks Adelaide 36ers and Bryce Cotton play only once this weekend. But hoops expert Mick Randall has a plan for his fantasy team.
Who can cover Bryce?
It’s the $1.4 million question in Beat The Coach with the 36ers playing only once in round 12.
Of the teams that play twice, Nathan Sobey in great form. Damon Lowery – the man to beat each week to go into the BTC prize draw – has gone with Kendric Davis as captain, so I’m looking for a point of difference there. I can’t leave him out altogether, though.
I’ve picked Big Jo at Centre at $300k but was tempted by Jesse Edwards, who is about $40k cheaper. In the end Jo’s form better and there were other players on the budget end who can help me.
Akech Aliir comes off a monster weekend for the Phoenix and appears to have won the back-up role over Gorjok Gak ... who didn’t play a minute after I picked him last week.
Tyger Campbell is a risk but at $190k, he’ll be looking for a big bounce-back after a very quiet performance.
And Hunter Goodrick is getting minutes in Sydney, particularly given the Kings’ dearth of big stocks and the penchant for Tim Soares and Xavier Cooks to find foul trouble.
