CHRIS Scott says Geelong will have to adapt after Gary Ablett suffered another hamstring injury — and a former teammate has urged the club to “play smart” with the champion midfielder.

AFL admits costly deliberate call was wrong

INCORRECT umpiring decisions, players cutting themselves on fences and goal review blunders. A few things went wrong for the league in Round 3 and the AFL footy boss was on the front foot on Monday.

Cats’ cruel loss set to get worse

SOMEHOW, Geelong had willed itself back into the game and looked set for a heroic win. But eventually the heat and mounting injuries took their toll as West Coast went in for the kill.

Umpires must save Selwood from himself

JOEL Selwood couldn’t care less what fans or opponents think about his ducking tendencies when the benefits are so obvious. It’s time to stop giving him the benefit of the doubt.

New pain wonder drug not WADA prohibited: AFL

UPDATE: THE AFL has softened its stance on the new wonder drug being used by up to 50 AFL players, declaring it has been approved for use but it is up to the player and his doctor, despite saying earlier this week it’s wasn’t OK to use.

ONE of the AFL’s biggest stars is among up to 50 players being injected with a breakthrough pain treatment unavailable to the general public that has been credited with eliminating knee, hip and groin pain.
