Brayden Maynard misses Collingwood training after car accident

A premiership Pie missed pre-season training on Monday, after an early morning car crash on the Mornington Peninsula Freeway.

Premiership defender Brayden Maynard did not train on Monday with Collingwood after he was involved in a car crash on the Mornington Peninsula Freeway.

Maynard was involved in the motor vehicle incident just before 6am on Monday, with one other car involved.

Both the 27 year old star Magpie and the driver of the other vehicle avoided injury.

The Magpie did not attend training after the incident, which occurred about 6am on Monday.

A Collingwood spokesperson confirmed the incident occured.

“Collingwood confirms Brayden Maynard was involved in a very minor car accident earlier this morning,” they said.

“Importantly, no one was hurt.

“Brayden exchanged contact details with the other driver with only minor damage to the exterior of Brayden’s vehicle.”.
