Isaac Quaynor signs long-term contract extension with Collingwood

Isaac Quaynor continues to improve after making the All-Australian squad in 2023, now he’s been locked up by the Magpies for the rest of the decade.

Collingwood celebrates 'upgrade' to AFL training facility

Premiership defender Isaac Quaynor has penned a long-term extension at Collingwood.

Quaynor, who is 24 years old, will remain at the Magpies until at least the end of the 2029 season.

The defender was contracted until the end of 2025 however the deal was redrawn, adding an additional four years to his stint at the club.

Quaynor was widely regarded as one of the league’s best lockdown medium defenders last year, and was in the All Australian squad of 40.

Quaynor played all 26 games in 2023, averaging 16.2 disposals, 5.5 marks, 3.7 rebound 50s, and 2.6 tackles.

He took his career tally of games to 85 in 2023, and will likely pass the 100-game milestone this coming season.

Collingwood will play GWS Giants in the Opening Round of the AFL season, with the Magpies tipped to contend strongly for back-to-back premierships.
