A Western Australian police officer has touched down on home soil for the first time since her horror 10m fall down a cliff in Europe.

Over $500,000 was raised to help bring Ella Cutler home to Perth after she suffered critical injuries while on holiday in Dubrovnik in Croatia on August 26.

In a statement on Saturday, the 25-year-old constable’s family confirmed she had touched down at Perth Airport on Friday night, and was immediately taken to Royal Perth Hospital.

“Ella is home safe and currently receiving treatment at RPH with family by her side,” the family said in a statement.

“She’s stable and not in ICU which is a great sign, but it may be a week or more before we are able to provide a medical update, so we are asking for patience and privacy while we focus on Ella and she focuses on getting well.

“Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts to the blue family and everyone who supported Ella and made this possible.”

Her brother Joshua started a GoFundMe campaign in early September in an effort to raise the $500k needed to bring her home.

While Ms Cutler did have travel insurance through RAC, Dubrovnik police ruled that Ella had been drinking when she fell, which meant she wasn’t covered.

At least $400k of that money was needed to cover the air ambulance from Croatia.

Ella’s medical flight touched down in Perth just after 10pm Friday, before she was taken to Royal Perth Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
