Man charged: An elderly woman reportedly woke to three intruders in her home

A MAN has been charged with aggravated burglary over an alleged home invasion at Caveside near Mole Creek in the state’s north.
Police say a woman will also be proceeded against by summons in relation to the alleged offence in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Detectives from Launceston CIB on Tuesday searched a house in Prospect and recovered property allegedly stolen during the incident.

A Tasmania Police spokesman said an elderly woman was woken up about 3am on Sunday by three people who allegedly entered her home and stole a number of items including jewellery and electronics.
A 30 year old Prospect man has been charged with aggravated burglary and stealing.
He was remanded in custody and appeared in Launceston Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
“A 25 year old Prospect woman will be charged on summons in relation to property offences,” the spokesman said.
Investigations into the matter are continuing.
