THE Junction Arts Festival board is looking for a new member who will play a “key role in shaping Tasmania’s arts and events scene post COVID-19”.
Expressions of interest are open for the board member position described as “stimulating, fun, challenging and very rewarding” by Junction chair Liz Frankham.
The Tasmanian not-for-profit is seeking someone with experience and expertise in finance, marketing, arts practice, events, business and stakeholder engagement.
The appointed person will be responsible for “building cultural engagement, in and for Tasmanians, especially for the benefit of the Launceston community”.
Executive producer Frith Mabin said the board was made up of people with a wide range of skills and backgrounds.
“We’re looking to add to the diverse and collaborative team,” she said.
The annual arts, music and performance festival usually marks the start of Spring in Launceston but was postponed earlier this year due to the pandemic.
This year was set to see the festival’s tenth year, but the anniversary program that was planned will now take place in 2021.
The team expects to deliver a replacement festival later this year if restrictions on gatherings are lifted.
Expressions of interest close Friday 28 August at 6pm.
