Just hours after a family tragedy, Tassie’s country music royalty have welcomed a baby girl — and her name is a sweet nod to her beloved ‘Nan Nan’.

Just hours after they lost their beloved mum, Tassie’s country music royalty have welcomed a baby girl into the family.
One half of The Wolfe Brothers, Tom Wolfe, announced he and wife Allison welcomed a little girl, Matilda Leonie Wolfe, on Monday, October 17 at 10.11pm.
Tilly’s middle name is that of her beloved ‘Nan Nan’ Leonie Wolfe, who passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, October 18.
“Such a beautiful addition to our family,” Tom wrote.
“Tilly is bringing some pure joy in a time where we need it.
“Big sister Evie is very excited and handling all the changes like an absolute superstar. We’re so proud of both our girls.”
The proud dad announced his little girl was born at 10.11pm Monday, October 17.
Just hours after Matilda was born, the country music brothers lost their beloved mum, who had been battling cancer.
Mrs Wolfe was a popular teachers’ aide at St Aloysius College, and was described by her sons as “the rock of our family”.
After the announcement of the safe arrival of baby Matilda, the group were inundated by messages of congratulations, including from Australian music stars Adam Brand, Amber Lawrence and Sheppard.
“Aww congratulations, little big sister Evie looks very proud,” Amy Sheppard wrote.
“Huge congratulations to your gorgeous family,” singer Caitlyn Shadbolt wrote.
Fans called the announcement a ‘rollercoaster ride’ of tragedy and elation.
“How beautiful,” one fan wrote. “At a time when you should be grieving you are celebrating the life of your second daughter. No doubt Mumma helped her arrive safely.”
