A young woman accused of causing a crash which killed another woman on Good Friday at Copping has asked for one last adjournment as she waits for disclosure.

Storm Cecilia Tientjes, 26, appeared via videolink from custody into Hobart Magistrates Court on Wednesday where she was set to enter pleas to her charges.

Arising from the April 7, 2023 crash, Tientjes is charged with causing death by dangerous driving, driving while not holding a licence, use unregistered motor vehicle and dishonestly display or alter a plate in a way calculated to deceive.

She is also charged with a count of failing to comply with a requirement for taking of blood for analysis.

Tientjes has been in custody since late June, 52 days after a warrant was issued for her arrest after she failed to appear in court.

She had previously appeared in the Supreme Court of Tasmania on April 22, where she was granted bail.

In court, Tientjes said she’d only had one “brief” phone call with lawyer Dinesh Loganathan and she was still waiting on police disclosure for her indictable matters.

Magistrate Reg Marron granted a further adjournment for disclosure to be provided and for Tientjes to speak with Mr Loganathan.
