COMMUNITY consultation has opened on a new design option for upgrades to the Tasman Highway between Hobart Airport and the Midway Point causeway.
The Department of State Growth said the upgrades, were part of the South East Traffic Solution, consisting of a suite of improvements on the Tasman Highway between the airport and Sorell, and on the Arthur Highway south of Iron Creek Bridge.
The first round of consultation was held in June, and initial feedback indicated further options needed to be considered.

The department said this feedback had been used to develop a revised design, which reduced the effect on neighbouring properties by replacing the previously proposed roundabout with traffic lights.
The community has until December to review and provide feedback on the revised design via an online interactive map.
