Scout the five year-old border collie is loving, loyal, smart and energetic.
He’s also just been voted Tasmania’s cutest dog by Mercury readers.
His owners Catherine Kruger and Luke Frost are thrilled that Scout’s photo must have made “lots of people smile”.
He has been in the young Kingston couple’s life since he was eight-weeks-old.
“Scout is the most loving and loyal, but also most food-oriented dog in the world,” the said.
“All he wants is to do things with his family.
“He loves going for walks on the beach, snoozing in the sun, and singing his heart out to classical piano in the morning.
“It’s quite a soulful sound and he hits the right notes.”
Scout is a great companion and Catherine and Luke say he fits in well with their active, outdoor lifestyle.
“Scout is quiet, loving, and loyal, and very sweet - he loves a good cuddle, and a cheeky grumble when he’s hungry.
“We do a lot more because of Scout - we go for lots of walks and bike rides, and visits to the beach.
“But really Scout is just a great companion for anything.
“He has lots of people that he loves to hang out with, and he has brought much joy to a lot of people’s lives.”
