A MANAGING partner of a real estate agency in Hobart’s northern suburbs is fighting a stealing charge in court.
Ray White Glenorchy managing partner Nawwar Saad Alshawi has pleaded not guilty to one count of stealing (by agent).
The 33-year-old from Lenah Valley appeared briefly in the Hobart Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.
The particular details of the charge were not available from the court on Wednesday.
Mr Alshawi’s lawyer Craig Rainbird told the court he was still awaiting some outstanding information from police prosecutor Andrew Tye.
Magistrate Robert Webster said the slow disclosure of information by the prosecution was “not acceptable on any basis.”
Mr Alshawi was bailed to reappear for a hearing on May 27.
