Multiple cars have been caught up in a peak hour smash on the Tasman Highway at Mornington.

MULTIPLE cars have been caught up in a peak hour smash on the Tasman Highway at Mornington.

Police and emergency services were called to the crash causing significant disruptions to peak hour traffic just before 9am.

In a brief statement police said delays could be anticipated until the scene — 100 metres south of the Mornington Overpass, city-bound — was cleared.

Police said no life threatening injuries had been reported.

Earlier, police were also called to a two car crash on South Arm Rd at Rokeby.

Police said no injuries were reported in the crash which occurred west of the Lauderdale Primary School turn-off about 8.30am.

The smashed caused some delays until the scene was cleared just after 9am.
