JARROD Leigh Turner’s family and friends were urged to keep an eye on the Gagebrook man’s two young sons as they gathered for his funeral.
Mr Turner, who died after a gunshot wound to the head, was farewelled at Millingtons’ Mornington chapel this afternoon, and laid to rest at the Pontville Cemetery.
“I cannot say anything nice about what happened,” celebrant Rodney Bester said during the funeral that was live-streamed on the Millingtons website.
“We should not be here here, none of us should be here. Sometimes life can bring us so much good times ... and then it can be just so f...ing cruel,” Mr Bester said.
“Every person here it’s your job to keep your eye on them two little boys and make sure that they never, ever forget their daddy,” Mr Bester said.
The chapel was full of mourners and people were standing outside.
Tributes have also been posted on Mr Turner’s Facebook page.
“I’ll see you today, and [your] boys will be beside me to send our last goodbyes,” Teejay Harrison wrote this morning.
