A HOUSE in the Derwent Valley was destroyed by fire on Sunday night.
The Tasmania Fire Service said the house, in McCallums Rd, Fentonbury, was well alight when crews from Westerway, Ellendale, Bushy Park and Gretna arrived about 10pm.
Fire crews were called after a woman reportedly woke to a fire in the lounge room.
A TFS spokesman said the house was so extensively damaged it would need to be destroyed.
