Police and emergency services are on the scene of a two vehicle crash on Holyman Avenue, Cambridge.

One lane is currently closed. No serious injuries have been reported.

Motorists are urged to use caution in the area and take an alternative route where possible.

Child allegedly struck by a vehicle

A young child moved into the path of a vehicle at a property in Port Huon about 9am on Saturday morning.

Ambulance Tasmania attended the scene and the child was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital by helicopter “out of an abundance of caution” a police spokesperson said.

Police believe the child is in a stable condition.

Police attended the scene and have undertaken initial inquiries, at this stage there are no suspicious circumstances.
