Police were called to one of Adelaide’s top private schools after a parent came on campus, in an incident the principal has now shed light on.

Police were called by a prestigious Adelaide girls school after an incident involving a parent on campus.

It is understood the mother attended Walford Anglican School for Girls’ Hyde Park campus at the end of last week, and police were called.

An email was sent to parents confirming there was “an incident involving a parent on the secondary school campus”.

“The individual was promptly removed from the site and all necessary measures were immediately taken to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students, staff and community,” the email said.

About 400 girls are enrolled at the top school, which charges $32,520 for year 12 tuition.
