Man rushed to Flinders Medical Centre after worksite incident at Brighton
Emergency services have rescued a man from heights at a beachside worksite Wednesday morning, before he was rushed to hospital.
A man has been taken to hospital following a workplace incident at a luxury beachside construction site in Brighton.
Emergency crews were called to a large three-storey home under construction along The Esplanade after reports a man had been injured around 11am on Wednesday.
Multiple police cars arrived at the scene as construction workers downed tools and waited outside by their cars.
Neighbours looked on from the street, unsure of what had unfolded, but said they “hoped everyone was okay”.
It is understood a man in his 30s was taken to Flinders Medical Centre for treatment. His condition is not known.
SafeWork SA confirmed it was notified of the incident and is investigating.
“An inspector and investigator will be attending the site to make inquiries into the circumstances that led to a worker being taken to hospital,” a spokesman said.
