Cop’s Youth and Street Gangs Task Force arrest five males, seize imitation firearm and machetes
After members of the public spotted a man pointing a firearm out of their car and another walking with a machete, police were quick to take action.

Three teens and two young men were arrested after one was allegedly spotted pointing a gun out of the window of his car at South Brighton.
That led police to launch an investigation that also resulted in the seizure of an imitation firearm and machetes.
The incident that sparked the search for the group happened on Friday.
Members of the public first saw two males walking along Brighton Rd just before 4pm.
One of them was spotted allegedly carrying a machete.
Witnesses then saw a male who appeared to be pointing a firearm out of his car towards the pair walking on the road.
Following the reports, SA Police’s Youth and Street Gangs Task Force investigators, with the help of Western District patrols, quickly located the car.
Officers searched the vehicle and allegedly found an imitation firearm and machetes inside.
The Mitsubishi was seized for further forensic examination.
All five occupants of the vehicle, aged 16, 17, 18, 24 and 29, were arrested and charged with carrying an offensive weapon and possessing a firearm.
The 17-year-old boy, from Edwardstown was also charged with aggravated robbery over an alleged incident at Croydon Park on July 3 where police say a machete was used.
All five were refused police bail and will appear in either the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court or Adelaide Youth Court on Monday.
