The family of a woman killed when her car crashed into a tree at Uleybury on Thursday night says she “lit up a room everywhere she went”.

Tatiana Tenikoff, 22, was killed at the scene of the crash at 10pm.

She’s the second woman killed in crashes in two days on SA roads, after another woman died on Friday following a smash on the South-Eastern Freeway earlier this month.

The Tenikoff family released a statement on Friday saying Tatiana was a “bubbly, beautiful soul with a heart of gold”.

“She touched so many people’s lives in her short 22 years,” it said.

“Taken way too young, Tatiana will be remembered by her family as a loving, funny girl that lit up a room everywhere she went.”

The statement went on to thank people for reaching out, but requested privacy to allow the family to grieve.

Friends have also taken to Facebook to remember the 22-year-old.

“She was such lovely girl, awful to hear,” one comment said.

Another post said Tatiana would be “forever 22” and “truly missed”.

“Fly high beautiful,” it said. “From smashing you at bootcamp to leaving you at the winery because you were in the toilet to drinking way too much alcohol together, it is with a heavy heart that I say ‘till next time’.”

Another friend said the impact Tatiana had on other could “never be overstated”.

“Always held me accountable and taught me so many things about myself. Love you forver,” the post read.

One of her best friends also detailed her grief.

“I’m sad and angry and all these other yucky feelings I’ve been trying to get rid of. I love you and i’m going to miss you forever,” she said.

Tatiana was a year 11 school leader at private school Trinity College in 2017.

Police and emergency services were called to Uley Rd after a Toyota sedan veered off the road and hit a tree.

Tatiana was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Roads were closed for several hours while major crash investigators attended the scene but they have since been reopened.

The scene remained strewn with some debris on Friday morning.

Tatiana’s is the 54th life lost on South Australian roads compared with 33 at the same time last year.
