Police are searching for two men following an aggravated burglary in Hobart’s northern suburbs.

Police are searching for two men following an aggravated burglary in Hobart’s northern suburbs.

Police said a house at Calvert Crescent near Gagebrook was broken into shortly after 5am on Sunday.

The incident saw police close off streets in the Herdsmans Cove area as officers conducted doorknocks for information.

A number of Gagebrook residents took to social media telling of a low-flying helicopter circling the area.

Police said investigations were continuing and urged members of the public with information to contact police.
