A BRIDGEWATER man who allegedly tried to dump eight tonnes of animal manure on the steps of Hobart’s Executive Building will be arrested after he failed to show up at court.
Scott Wayne Moore, a 51-year-old disability pensioner, was first arrested just after 5am on September 9 last year outside the Murray St building – the site of then-Premier Will Hodgman’s office and those of other government ministers.
At the time, Mr Moore claimed he was “dragged out” of his truck.
He said he would plead not guilty to the charges and was bailed to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court yesterday.
But Mr Moore failed to turn up to the plea hearing, leading Magistrate Chris Webster to issue a warrant for his arrest.
He is charged with one count of resisting a police officer and one count of failing to comply with the direction of a police officer.

Mr Moore previously told the Mercury he was involved in a long-running dispute with Centrelink that had led him being banned from every one of the social security provider’s offices across the country.
“I am a passionate man about this state and the people in it,” he said at the time.
“I just want to be heard — Australia is going down the gurgler. I’ve just had enough.”
A date has not yet been set for Mr Moore’s next court appearance.
