A HOUSE in Bridgewater will likely need demolishing after a fierce early morning blaze ripped through the property.
Emergency services were called to the Scott Rd home about 3am this morning.
When fire crews arrived more than half the house was already engulfed and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered to search for occupants.
Tasmania Fire Service station officer Jarrod Read said no one was home at the time and crews quickly brought the blaze under control.
“Owing to the ferocity of the fire, the house sustained considerable structural damage and will possibly require demolition,” he said.
