A HOWRAH woman whose son is facing drug trafficking charges has had a trafficking charge against her dropped.

Karen Campbell, 62, appeared in the Supreme Court in Hobart on Monday where she was told the charge against her was dismissed.

Ms Campbell’s son Mitchell John Campbell, 31, of Noosaville in Queensland, was extradited to Tasmania in June last year to face drug charges.

He has previously pleaded not guilty to drug trafficking and related charges.

It is alleged he trafficked cocaine and ecstasy in Hobart between March 14 and May 9 last year.

Mr Campbell’s matter remains before the court.

He has been remanded in custody and is next due to appear in November.
