Emergency services respond to sudden death in Hervey Bay

Emergency crews have swarmed the beachfront at a popular Queensland tourist spot where a man has been found dead - the second grim discovery of its kind in a week.

Emergency crews have descended on the esplanade at Pialba, Hervey Bay where a man’s body has been discovered near a popular family park.

Multiple paramedics as well as police and firefighters can be seen at the beachfront area next to the All-Abilities playground.

The grim discovery was made about 3pm on Thursday.

The area fronts one of Hervey Bay’s most popular beaches at the height of the school holidays.

It is understood there are no suspicious circumstances.

A police spokeswoman said a report would be prepared for the coroner.

It comes after the body of a man was found in the water at Point Vernon on Boxing Day in an unrelated incident.
