A stroll along Bondi Beach promenade appeared to be the perfect antidote for Hollywood star Rebel Wilson and fiance Ramona Agruma on Monday night.

The pair, who are currently living out of a rented penthouse along the iconic beach strip, at the weekend shared images of daughter Royce Lillian’s first birthday.

Wilson, 43, welcomed Royce via surrogate in November 2022.

With Stevie Wonder’s Happy Birthday as the soundtrack, the couple shared numerous snaps and video to social media of the lavish birthday spread, including an impressive pastel-coloured mermaid cake.

She is based in Sydney as she is directing new film, The Deb, in regional NSW.
The production is based out of Rozelle with Wilson stating she hopes to create the same level of humour and colour as Aussie film classics Muriel’s Wedding and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

“If I was directing a movie it was only going to be in Australia because that’s authentic to me, I didn’t want to do the studio ones I was offered in America because I didn’t feel like I had that heart connection,” she recently told The Saturday Telegraph.

“I wanted to bring my family back here because my little daughter, it’s her first time in Australia and she is loving it, I’ve taken her multiple times to see the koalas. Everything is so safe here.”

The Deb is based on a critically acclaimed stage musical and tells the story of a farm girl in outback Australia getting ready for her debutante ball — and her cynical inner-city cousin putting a spanner in the works.

Wilson will play a small role as a hairdresser, but the film’s stars include young talent Natalie Abbott and Charlotte McInnes alongside Aussie legend Shane Jacobson.
