Video emerges showing road rage incident turned racist on Sunshine Coast

Two drivers in a verbal altercation about their skills on the road quickly disintegrates into a tirade of racist slurs and intimidation as the pair gets out of their vehicles.

A confronting video of a driver threatening and acting racist to another man in a spout of “road rage” on the side of a street has emerged online.

The footage was uploaded to online forum platform Reddit in a Sunshine Coast page on Friday captioned as “just a bit of road rage with a side of racism” by Reddit user Troutmuffin.

The video has been filmed from the perspective of a pedestrian with a dog named Daisy, who took collateral damage from some foot stomping.

Footage shows two cars stopped in the middle of the street, with the driver of the first car sauntering up to the driver behind him, holding his door handle as the second driver stepped out.

The first driver can be heard shouting “what’s your f---ing problem, little man” as the second quickly approaches the cameraman, explaining they had been driving in a roundabout.

“Learn how to drive properly in our country, c---,” the first driver could be heard shouting.

The cameraman promptly told him to not be racist.

The first driver, pacing between his own car and the victim, accused the man of flexing his “muscles and fists” before leaning into his face and appears to attempt to instigate a physical altercation.

“I don’t want to use my boxing skills,” the victim could be heard over the shouting.

The video shows the second driver attempting to walk out of the man’s path saying “it’s not worth it” as the first driver closes the distance between them.

The altercation over the alleged incident continued as the pair tried to talk over each other.

“You learn how to drive you f---ing little Asian c---,” the first driver said.

Reddit users took to the comments to put in their two cents worth and share compassion for Daisy’s foot.

“Yeah, you can just stop in the middle of the road and accuse the other guy of starting something lol,” one user commented.

“This guy is about to become famous for all the wrong reasons,” another added.

The uploader Troutmuffin had responded to a comment saying he only saw the Ford Falcon stopping on the road, prompting him to take out his phone and record.

“It went to the opposite side of the road, hooned passed him, ripped up his handbrake and got out so quick,” he said in the comments

Queensland Police have been contacted for comment.
