Rescue chopper called to help child with serious injuries after two motorcycles collide

A helicopter has been called to a serious motorcycle crash south of Brisbane, where a child has suffered potentially life-threatening injuries.

A child has sustained potentially life-threatening injuries after two motorcycles collided in a Logan suburb on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Wyatt Road in Riverbend at 2.43pm. One patient, a man in his 30s, sustained an injury to his arm in the crash.

The other patient, a primary school aged child, received significant leg, arm and head injuries.It is understood both patients were riding on different motorcycles.

A helicopter has been deployed to the scene.
