Heavy traffic delays on major arterials out of Brisbane ahead of Easter long weekend
Drivers are being hit with heavy traffic delays out of Brisbane with major arterials including the Bruce Highway, Pacific and Gateway motorways at a standstill ahead of the Easter long weekend.

A mass exodus is unfolding across Brisbane ahead of the Easter long weekend with major traffic delays being felt on major arterials.
Drivers heading northbound are now facing delays of about an hour from the Gateway Motorway at Nudgee through the Bruce Highway to Caboolture.
In Brisbane’s southern suburbs, drivers heading southbound on the Pacific Motorway are also facing delays of up to an hour and a half between Sunnybank and Tweed Heads on the Queensland border.
The delays were sparked by a two-vehicle crash on the motorway about noon at Eagleby, which was further slowed down the traffic
Heavy traffic is also bringing the Centenary Highway to a crawl, with delays of about 20 minutes.
A crash on the highway around 3.15pm at Sumner also further worsened the congestion on the northbound lanes.
Drivers heading east along the Logan Motorway at Forest Lake are also facing delays of up to 25 minutes.
Traffic is backing up along Anzac Ave heading out to the highway, with delays of at least 10 minutes impacting drivers.
