Two women killed in crash in Wadalba on NSW Central Coast, man seriously injured

A collision between two cars early this morning in Wadalba has left two women returning from a Lady Gaga concert dead and a man with serious injuries.

Two women have died after a horror crash on the NSW Central Coast early on Sunday morning, sparking a police investigation.

Emergency services were called to Pacific Highway, near Wadalba, after reports of a crash involving a sedan and a hatchback around 2.15am.

The driver of the hatchback, a 45-year old woman, and her passenger, a 38-year-old woman, both died at the scene.

It ins understood the two women were returning from the Lady Gaga concert at Sydney Olympic Park, which was held on Saturday night.

A 49-year-old man, who was behind the wheel of the sedan, was treated for arm and leg injuries and taken to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.

A crime scene has been established and specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit were called.

They will investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.

Both vehicles were seized to be forensically examined.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

The Pacific Highway near Wadalba is closed on both ways and police drivers to avoid the area at this time.

Meanwhile, in the state’s south, police are investigating another serious crash which has left one driver fighting for their life.

Emergency services were called out to Olympic Highway, Marinna, near Junee to reports of a two-car collision just after 10pm on Saturday.

A 36-year-old woman, driver of a Mercedes hatchback, was taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital in a critical condition.

The other driver, a 24-year-old man in a Toyota Corolla, was taken to the same hospital in a stable condition.

Both vehicles have been seized for forensically examined.

Officers attached to Riverina Police District established a crime scene and specialist officers from Crash Investigation Unit were called to commence an investigation into the incident.
