A man has been shot in the leg and dropped at a hospital in Sydney’s west, sparking a major police investigation.
The man, understood to be aged in his 50s, presented to Bankstown Hospital around 10pm on Thursday suffering from a wound to his leg.
NSW Police are now investigating, with crime scenes set up at the hospital and another in the centre of Bankstown.
The shooting is the latest incident of violence to occur on Sydney’s streets this week.
Bullets were fired into a house in Tallawong around 4.40am on Thursday, before police found a live grenade and a loaded firearm in a vehicle nearby.
On Monday morning, a man was shot in the leg at a home in Penrith, with video of the attack later uploaded online.
