Western Australia braces as TC Fina hits Category 4
Tropical Cyclone Fina is now Western Australia’s problem, as it barrels towards the mainland as a Category 4 system.
Tropical Cyclone Fina has left a trail of destruction as she crossed over the Tiwi Islands and past the Darwin region.
Earlier, the Bureau of Meteorology warned people across the Tiwi Islands and Top End to find shelter with winds of up to 205km/h predicted.
The Tropical Cyclone was declared a Category 3 system before reaching within 45km of Darwin late on Saturday, with strong winds and heavy rains felt throughout the day and night.
