May 31, 9.40am: A man is in custody after repeatedly stabbing a woman near a Palmerston shopping centre in a domestic violence attack, police allege.
The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested a 41-year-old man in relation to the incident at the back of Palmerston Shopping Centre on Friday.
About 12.30pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports of a woman being stabbed multiple times near Kilgour Lane.
The man and woman are known to each other.
Police arrived and arrested the man nearby.
St John Ambulance took the woman to Royal Darwin Hospital in a stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident is still under investigation and charges are expected to follow.

Girl sexually abused by stranger in alleged daylight attack
May 29, 4pm: A man is in custody after an alleged sexual assault on a girl in the Palmerston CBD.
Police said the alleged offender was not known to the victim, a girl aged under 16.
Detectives from the Child Abuse Taskforce identified and arrested a 37-year-old man on Thursday in relation to the crime, which allegedly occurred late Wednesday afternoon.
The man remains in police custody, with charges expected to be laid on Thursday evening.
E-scooter stolen in Alawa mugging
May 28, 10am: A female has been mugged and had her e-scooter stolen while riding along the footpath at Alawa.
Strike Force Trident is calling for witnesses to the aggravated robbery on Monday morning.
Police said that between 10:40am and 10:50am, it is alleged a group of people approached a female who was riding her e-scooter on the footpath along Trower Road and assaulted her before stealing the e-scooter.
Police said the incident occurred between Lakeside Drive and Alawa Crescent along Trower Road.
