A TEENAGER killed in a crash on the Bass Highway on Tuesday night will be remembered in his home town of Latrobe by the retirement of his Number 20 football jersey.

Two other young passengers in the back of the car survived the horror crash.

Lachlan was in the Latrobe Football Club’s Under 16 team.

“He was a quiet and reserved young man who shone on the football field,” the club said.

“He hadn’t planned to play this year but answered the call of his mates to help as they didn’t have enough players.

“This was typical of this selfless young man. Your presence around the club, and on the football field, will be greatly missed by your teammates, coach and all the members of our club.

“The #20 jumper will always be yours Lockie. RIP.”

Ms Eileen Murfet was aged 68 and lived in the Devonport area.
