DISGRACED Tasmanian councillor Darren Fairbrother was back in Burnie Magistrate’s Court on Friday where a hearing date was set for him to fight a charge of trespass.
Mr Fairbrother has pleaded not guilty to the charge and is expected to give evidence at the hearing which has been set down for September 19.
The Waratah-Wynyard councillor is under intense pressure from his elected colleagues and the community to stand down following a conviction for prohibited behaviour back in May.
Mr Fairbrother was found guilty of flashing at a holidaying family on Boat Harbour beach and his name has been place on the sexual offenders register.
The court was told the hearing on the trespass charge would involve three police witnesses, three civilian witnesses, video footage and photographs.
Outside the court on Friday, Mr Fairbrother refused to answer media questions about when he might resign from the council.
