Virgin Australia has slashed prices on more than one million domestic fares to some of the country’s most popular holiday destinations.

Virgin Australia has slashed prices on more than one million domestic fares to popular Aussie destinations, with one-way tickets starting at just $49.

The one-week sale, which comes as Australia’s airlines continue to do battle, offers cut-price fares to hotspots including Gold Coast, Hamilton Island, Uluru and Cairns.

The sale fares, available until midnight (AEDT) on November 13, are for travel between January 5, 2026 and September 17, 2026 (unless sold out prior).

Excitingly, the sale isn’t just confined to capital cities with regional airports including Townsville, Rockhampton, Kalgoorlie, Karratha, Launceston, Emerald, Gladstone, Alice Springs, Broome, Proserpine, Newcastle, Mackay, Port Hedland and Mount Isa all included.

Sydneysiders looking for a coastal getaway can grab a one-way flight to Byron Bay for just $49, or to the Gold Coast from $65, while Melburnians could fly to the Gold Coast for $89, and to Hamilton Island for $159.

Brisbane passengers will be able to fly Proserpine (Whitsundays) from $79, or to Darwin from $179.

Adelaide residents are spoiled for choice with flights to Melbourne $95, Hobart $105 and the Gold Coast $119.

Those from Canberra could fly to the Gold Coast from $95, while Melburnians also had the option of flying to Perth from $215, or to Launceston from $65.

Darwin isn’t missing out either with $179 seats to Brisbane and $219 to Melbourne up for grabs.

There are bargains for Hobart residents too with $89 flights to Melbourne and $79 flights to Sydney.

Canberrans can get away to the Gold Coast for as little as $95 or Melbourne for $115.

You can fly from Perth to Melbourne for as low as $215 or Sydney for $229.
