Qantas has launched a new Asia sale for Aussie travellers looking to make the most of ski season in Japan or a beach break in Bali.
The national carrier has today released more than 80,000 discounted seats to eight destinations across Asia, with economy return fares starting from $519.
The sale gives travellers fantastic deals to some of Qantas’ most popular international destinations including Bali, Tokyo, Manila and Hong Kong.
In an added bonus, sale fares are available with select dates during key travel periods including Bali’s popular dry season and just before the start of Japan ski season.
Economy return sale fares also include $679 to Bali from four capital cities, $929 to Hong Kong and Bangkok from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane as well as $949 to Tokyo (Haneda and Narita) from Sydney and Melbourne.
Also included are discounted seats on Qantas’ newest international service, Darwin to Singapore, with Economy return sale fares starting from $519.
The inaugural Darwin to Singapore flight will take off on Sunday, March 30 and add 60,000 seats between Darwin and Singapore each year, providing a one stop option from Australia’s top end to Asia and Europe.
This is Qantas’ third international sale for 2025, following a major international sale in February and last week’s North and South America sale.
“Today we’re launching sale fares to some of our most popular destinations right across Asia, including Tokyo, Manila and Bangkok and of course our most in demand route, Bali,” Qantas CEO International Cam Wallace said.
“It’s only March and we’re already onto our third international sale this year, giving customers even more opportunities to access great value fares. The last two sales were incredibly popular, so this is a perfect opportunity.”
Qantas fares include checked baggage, meals, beverages and entertainment. Sale fares are for travel between April 19, 2025 to February 28, 2026 with select blackout dates and are available until 11.59pm (AEDT) Wednesday, April 2 2025 unless sold out.
Meanwhile, Virgin Australia, in partnership with the Queensland Government and Tourism and Events Queensland, has launched thousands of discounted fares to get people back to the state after the cyclone and floods earlier this month.
Sale fares include $45 one-way from Sydney to the Sunshine Coast, $55 one-way from Melbourne to the Gold Coast, and $79 one-way from Sydney to Cairns.
Virgin Australia Executive, Libby Minogue, said the airline is proud to be supporting tourism and hospitality in Queensland after recent weather events caused havoc in the state.
“As a Queensland-based business, we’re proud to help Queensland bounce back and share the love of our state with the rest of Australia,” she said.
“Queensland is home to some of the most incredible holiday destinations that are widely popular with Aussie travellers, and with flights from just $45 there is no better time to explore the natural beauty of the regions.”
The sale runs from March 27 to March 29, 2025, for select travel dates between May 1 and June 30, 2025 (unless sold out).
