Women come together for Make-A-Wish fundraiser to help kids’ dreams come true
More than 100 women have taken advantage of the state’s “bubble of freedom” to come together to help bring joy to the lives of critically ill children.

MAKE-A-Wish national patron Robyn Moore still smiles when she recalls the seriously ill four-year-old who “went to the moon” and another who became Australian cricket captain for the day.
Ms Moore AM was one of more than 100 women who came together on Sunday for a fundraiser for the charity, which grants inspirational and life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
“We’re in a bubble of freedom from Covid in Tasmania and it is wonderful to be able to come together after we were able to grant 164 wishes in 164 days nationally,” she said.
“We grant wishes for anything from a puppy or kitten to a cubby house or bedroom makeover.
“Our travel wishes have been on hold because of Covid but in the past we’ve helped in beautiful ways.”
Wish co-ordinator Allana Wilson said 21 children aged 4 to 21 were currently on the Tasmanian wish list.
