The top Surf Club on the Coast says the secret is teamwork, consistency and a little help from a stunning view.

Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Life Saving Club recently won the 2021 Best Surf Club competition with last years winners Palm Beach Surf Club coming as a close second.

Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Club manager Justin Fletcher said he had created strong friendships after working there for three years and was grateful for the recognition of the club’s work.

“The team work from the guys on the beach up to the guys doing the dishes we are all working together,” he said.

“From the General Manager to the dishy, everyone is the same and we respect each other.

“It is a fair indication of what we have been doing the past seven or eight years,” Mr Fletcher said.

He said from the menu to the view at the surf club, every crew member was proud to work there.

“You can tell by the smiles on the staff’s faces,” Mr Fletcher said.

“We have one of the best views on the Coast as well.

“Thank you very much to the people who have acknowledged us.”
