A controversial TikToker known for his age gap relationship Dr James Ellingford has been accused of stalking his now former girlfriend who was more than three decades his junior.

Ellingford, 57, allegedly used the “find my phone” app to work out where his now former partner was located.

The now former director of medicinal cannabis company Creso Pharma is also accused of publishing medical information about her on Tik Tok.

He has also been accused of misusing Triple 0 on three separate occasions.

Ellingford appeared in Southport Magistrates Court on Friday charged with multiple offences including stalking and three counts of misusing an emergency services number.

He appeared in the dock wearing a short sleeved navy shirt and dark shorts and would often look down at the ground during the more than hour long bail proceedings.

Magistrate Janice Crawford granted Ellingford bail on strict conditions including that he not approach his ex, he not contact her, he not post or comment on any social media platform and he only own one mobile phone.

Ellingford and the woman have gained more than 84,000 followers posting about their relationship on Tik Tok where some videos have gained over one million views.

The pair regularly went live on Tik Tok but also posted videos regularly. In one Ellingford is seen buying her a Porsche and in another she is dancing while Ellingford throws money at her.

It was reported last week that Ellingford lost his non-executive chairmanship of Creso Pharma due to the content of the videos.

Prosecutor Gavin Reece told the court police were still making their way through all the evidence in relation to the allegations but he said a lot was already public.

“Most of the allegations relate to the complaint of the woman herself, there is objective evidence that is clearly available, including the Instagram and Tik Tok videos which are available to the public,” he said.

“This includes the posting and showing of medical information of the woman.

“As well as clear evidence of coercive control and abuse to the woman while those videos were being made available to the public.”

Mr Reece said there was concern about the safety of his ex if Ellingford was placed on bail.

Defence lawyer Dan Rawlings, of Rawlings Criminal Law, said the pair had split.

“It’s reached a point that it’s unhealthy for both to be involved in each other’s lives,” he said.

Mr Rawlings said Ellingford agreed to not having any contact with her.

He said Ellingford would be fighting the charges.

Mr Rawlings told the court that the woman suffered from mental health issues and Ellingford had been trying to assist her.

He said the “confusing web of allegations” was going to take some time to unravel.

Magistrate Crawford adjourned the matter to February 3 next year.

The Runaway Bay man was arrested about 6.30am on Friday but it took police seven hours and 40 minutes to press charges – just 20 minutes shy of their eight hour cut off before he had to be released.

That meant his matter was heard late and the court sat until 5.30pm to finish proceedings.
