Alleged Finks bikie charged after routine traffic stop finds shirts, caps with bikie logos

An alleged bikie has been accused of carrying club affiliated shirts, caps and pants at a routine traffic stop on the northern Gold Coast.

An alleged bikie has been accused of carrying shirts, caps and pants emblazoned with Finks colours at a routine traffic stop on the northern Gold Coast.

The man was stopped during a traffic operation – Operation Oculus on Oxley Drive, near Jabiru Island about 8am on Tuesday.

He was the passenger in the car.

Police found the items in the car and they were allegedly emblazoned with the Finks bikie gang logo.

The car was stopped as police noticed one of the occupants were not wearing a seatbelt.

Police have charged him with possessing outlaw motorcycle gang paraphernalia.

He was issued with a notice to appear in court at a later date.

The alleged bikie walked off towards the public toilets at a nearby park.

As he did took off his BCF shirt, revealing a large back tattoo of the Finks logo.

The driver of the car was charged with drug driving after an allegedly positive roadside drug test, police said.

Police also allegedly found number plates in the car.

Officers were seen unscrewing the number plates of the silver Commodore before placing police stickers on the windscreen and back window.

The two men will appear in court at a later date.
