A Norlane man went to the pub after clocking off from work early has walked away with a major Keno win.

The player held a Keno Classic 9 Spot winning entry in draw 830 which was drawn on Monday, netting $110,000.

The jolly winner said a dazzling set of new teeth was at the top of his shopping list.

“I’m going to use the prize to look after myself. I’d love to look at getting my teeth fixed, and I’ll save some for my future retirement,” he said.

Norlane Hotel supervisor Rheanan Saraci said the venue was buzzing with excitement following the major prize win.

North Shore workmates share $1.4m lotto win

Ten North Shore workmates are now happily planning how they’ll spend their $1.4 million TattsLotto win, after playing lottery games together for 15 years.

When asked how his colleagues and himself planned to spend their share of the lottery fortune, the syndicate leader said it would significantly help every member of the hard-working Geelong group.

Corner Exchange Lotto at Bell Park sold a $1.4m winning ticket to a syndicate.

The syndicate leader confessed he was in a state of disbelief about their good fortune.

“F***, oh my god! That’s life changing,” he yelled.

“This is a private work syndicate shared between 10 work colleagues and we’ve been playing a System 9 entry every 10 weeks for about 15 years — it’s insane.

“One of the members heard that there was a division one winning entry from the outlet we purchased from.”

When asked how his colleagues and himself planned to spend their share of the lottery fortune, the hard-working Geelong man said it would significantly help everyone in smaller ways.

“It’s put my family eight years ahead of our mortgage payments which is amazing,” he said.

“If we have a bit of money left over, we might purchase a new caravan and travel around Australia.”

Their life-changing System 9 winning entry was purchased on Separation Street in Bell Park.

Corner Exchange Lotto manager Jon Cameron said the division one winning entry has brought immense joy to the community.

“We’re so thrilled to have sold a division one winning entry to 10 locals after a rough couple of years with Covid,” he said.

“It’s been two years since we last sold a division one winning entry, so it feels great to have sold another this year.

“This brings us to 16 division one winning entries over 34 years.

“Congratulations to our 10 winners, and we hope it brings great happiness into their lives.

“We have a gift of champagne ready for them come collect and enjoy.”

The Victorian players held one of the seven division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4237, drawn February 26.

Each division one winning entry scored a $1,442,537.03 prize.

Several years ago, a long-running legal stoush broke out involving a Lara man who quit his job following a $16.6m Powerball win.

But a group of his former workmates claimed the prize had been won as part of a workplace syndicate in 2014.

The case settled in 2017.

In recent weeks, a woman has won $4.8m in the Set for Life draw with a ticket bought at Market Square Lotto, while a Geelong man scored a $1.1m payday from a lotto draw.
