Nadia Bartel will not face further charges after she was filmed snorting white powder

Victoria’s top cop has revealed whether Nadia Bartel will face drug charges after the release of a powder-snorting video resulted in her being fined for breaking lockdown.

Embattled influencer Nadia Bartel will not be charged for possessing or snorting a white powder believed to be cocaine during a lockdown breach the state’s top cop has labelled “disappointing”.

Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Shane Patton said the force had been unable to prove the substance Bartel was filmed snorting last Thursday was an illicit drug.

“The investigators were unable to determine what the substance was or wasn’t that was allegedly used, so in light of that there will be no further police action,” Chief Commissioner Shane Patton told ABC Mornings on Thursday.

“We did conduct an investigation,” he said.

“It has been determined we don’t have sufficient standard of proof to be able to take any action and can’t determine what that substance was.

Nadia Bartel will not face further charges.

“We can’t take the matter any further and we don’t intend to. The reality is from our perspective, that investigation is concluded.”

Bartel and three others were each fined $5452 for breaching CHO directives after an illegal lockdown party at a Richmond property last Thursday.

“Each of those women has been issued a significant fine,” Mr Patton said.

“They are going to pay a big price in that respect. They have obviously paid a big price in terms of how they are being portrayed. There is no doubt they have done the wrong thing.”

Mr Patton said he was confident police had done the right thing in regards to the high profile matter and that he hoped it would act as a lesson to all Victorians.

“Like everyone else who has done the wrong thing we have followed through on that, we have investigated the matter,” he said.

“It is now closed and they have been fined.

“We would hope the vast majority of the community would learn from this.”

It comes after he mum of two was seen for the first time at the home of ex-husband Jimmy Bartel, where their sons, Aston, 5 and Henley, 2, spent the weekend.

Jimmy waved goodbye to the boys with a broad smile as Nadia carried Henley and embraced Aston.

Two high-profile brands who worked with Bartel have said they are cutting ties with the fashion and beauty influencer.

A third appears to have taken down references to a recent campaign on its website.

The Bartel video accidentally posted to social media.

Bartel issued an apology saying she had “let you all down by my actions”.

Many marketing experts are tipping Bartel’s personal brand would be repaired — she has already gained 10,000 followers on Instagram since Friday.

The Bartels’ divorce has recently been finalised after they separated in 2019.
