An alleged grinch who is accused of stealing Christmas presents and other packages from homes in Lara last year will front court.

The man allegedly stole parcels from homes on Pelican War and Floret Dr on November 14.

Lara mum Alexia Boland Herrick had Christmas gifts for her children from Target and Big W allegedly stolen by the man after they were delivered to her front door.

CCTV footage shows a silver sedan, with no registration plates, reversed into Mrs Boland Herrick’s driveway just before noon.

A man wearing a dark, hooded jumper exited the car before picking up a number of parcels and placing them into the vehicle.

Police said a 26-year-old Corio man, who was previously interviewed about the incident, has been charged with three counts of theft.

He will face the Geelong Magistrates Court on April 30.
